Re: Translating some Tibetan
"Born to lose, live to win." It's not even Tibetan but English using a Tibetan font (with some strange connecting lines).

I'd love to know the source of that....it's wacky.

www.fpmt.org
The mantra is a common one found in many Sadhanas I think. You can google it and see what you find. You can also google pratishtha
Om = om
Vajra = Dorje/Benzra/Benzar/thunderbolt
Ye Sva ha = some kind of exclamation Long time since I really thought about that stuff.
BTW, and just curious, but why do you ask ?

This is the mantra requesting the deity to remain firm and stable in the "support"--Thangka, Statue, or Torma.....hayduke wrote:hello there if anyone could be so kind ...whats the meaning of ..

In my opinion, Tashi Mannox is one of the best calligrapher I ever seen

Re: Translating some Tibetan
Hate to be that guy, but the script in the OP is quite sloppy, even for simple transliteration of an English phrase. Half of the AH syllables under the vowels are completely unnecessary if one knows the basic way Tibetan is written out and read (consonant, then vowel above or below).
And I have no idea what those weird connecting lines are, either. Seems to me that someone hastily ran a phrase thru one of those problematic online Tibetan transliteration sites, and chose a font option that was supposed to be the Uchen version of cursive (despite the fact that cursive would be done in any one of the myriad Umé scripts).

"The Sutras, Tantras, and Philosophical Scriptures are great in number. However life is short, and intelligence is limited, so it's hard to cover them completely. You may know a lot, but if you don't put it into practice, it's like dying of thirst on the shore of a great lake. Likewise, a common corpse is found in the bed of a great scholar." ~ Karma Chagme
