Father And Son

Postby DarwidHalim » Thu Nov 03, 2011 2:46 pm

Dear Members,

Which one comes first, Father or Son?
I am not here nor there.
I am not right nor wrong.
I do not exist neither non-exist.
I am not I nor non-I.
I am not in samsara nor nirvana.
To All Buddhas, I bow down for the teaching of emptiness. Thank You!

A deva in the sphere of the unconscious who having a perception immediately falls from that
existence to another. Recalling the past existence, but no other wrongly feels that there is
a first cause
, a first existence.

"there is no first beginning, no first beginning is knowable"

Ok. Let's keep David's answer for the moment.

The question is not just a simple one, which one come first, father or son?
I am not here nor there.
I am not right nor wrong.
I do not exist neither non-exist.
I am not I nor non-I.
I am not in samsara nor nirvana.
To All Buddhas, I bow down for the teaching of emptiness. Thank You!

Well, no easy answer there because a 'Father' is also a 'Son' (He must be a 'Son' to his 'Father'); and a 'Son' is potentially a 'Father' (he might gets married and have kids)...

Father is coming first. Followed by son.

Is this correct?

If it is wrong why?
I am not here nor there.
I am not right nor wrong.
I do not exist neither non-exist.
I am not I nor non-I.
I am not in samsara nor nirvana.
To All Buddhas, I bow down for the teaching of emptiness. Thank You!

Since you already have a number of "cause and effect, first cause" threads going, time to lock this one.
