Namaste, fellow transient, sentient beings

I think this is one of the most beautiful songs...

"No tree becomes rooted and sturdy unless many a wind assails it. For by its very tossing it tightens its grip and plants its roots more securely; the fragile trees are those that have grown in a sunny valley."
--Seneca the Younger (57 BCE- 65 AD)

"Everything is an illusion. Life is like a big dream."

Legendary! I fully recommend the biographical movie "Ray".
"Meditation is familiarisation with realisation"

Greek Hip Hop act Active Member is part of a of an alternative Hip Hop syndicate called Low Bap. Their lyrics are largely critiques of modern greek society. They generally play all-age and non-profit gigs.

The title of the track: Κοσμογωνιά (Kosmogonia) translates as "corner of the world" and is from the 1998 album "Μύθοι του Βάλτου" (Myths from the Swamp).

The chorus translates as follows:

"Here in this corner of the world
I built myself a murderous dream
I threw away my uniform
and am not welcome to my share."
"Meditation is familiarisation with realisation"
Jigten Sumgon Gonchig: The Single Intent, the Sacred Dharma

"Let me take you
On the sad go round
In the twilight zone
Hear the mournful sounds
Of the carousel
An the calliope
Where you lose your will
And abandon hope
As you spin
An the sad go round
And the world is a blur
Of confusing sound
You forget your troubles
You forget your fun
Now you're just a world
Moving round the sun"

This kind of brings back the days of my youth, year 1977 in London when I saw the Damned, it was quite new, I didn't become a punk, but I liked their stuff. Same week in London I also saw japanese musical theatre called Kabuki, in the Covent Garden. Punk didn't cause me to give up classical, avant garde and ethnic music.

Japan were one of the least known, yet musically talented and original acts of the whole 80's New Romantic movement.
