Actually what i m doing is helping my teacher to compose and create the biggest online resource on buddhism.
I know it sound outrageous, but my teacher has done miracles before.

Within 3 months, he has already posted 3500 articles in english. He wants to do the same in mandarin chinese. Therefore the name of the project- chinese buddhist encyclopedia. But it is not about chinese buddhism "only", rather it is a strategically chosen name to make this project work.

My teacher is a nyingma lama, who has done lots of things that no one else ever has thought about.

At the moment i m stuck with finding the chinese editors and translators. Therefore i m looking for people here who are buddhists and would know how to advise me.

My goal- i want to reach the chinese buddhists. I am studying mandarin myself but it will take me another 5 years to find them myself.

It's a great resource that you're putting together. I want to meet this Ken McLeod of "Unfettered Mind" now!

Earth Dragon,

I can only congratulate you for the website. Great stuff! I hope you find Mandarin speaking members here who are willing to assist in this great project. You should know, however, that there are already lot of freely available info in Chinese on the web.

JKhedrup,

Ken McLeod is surely an interesting teacher. :)

there will be no seeing of a nature in any thing.

this is the pure Chan of Tathagata.

the six paramitas and myriad means
are complete within that essence.

Thanx for your greetings. I agree that there is heaps available in chinese. There is even more available in english.

I have seen my teacher's effect on neo-buddhists. He never stops suprising them. His teachings are interesting. He tells the story so people want to know more afterwards. Or maybe i m just a fanatic...

The ideo of the encyclopedia is to cretate a bigger and better and more resourceful platform, something like wikipedia for buddhism . Again you can say- there are many already. But the biggest ones havebaround 10000 articles in many years.
Our www.chinabuddhismencyclopedia.com already has 3000 articles in 3 months. Thats in english.

I outline that all this is just a platform to allow future IT and technology to engage and contribute to buddhism.

Besides, this is the one very few Buddhist websites in english and in chinese, two most spoken languages in the world and probably amongst buddhists as well. But there is almost no opportunities for those two groups to interact.

So far....

您好!

祝福您們的案子一切順利。個人的看法是:如果真的在找些講中文的佛教突的話,那麼就谷哥"佛教留言板"。其實,已經有很多,比英文多得很。有雙語能力者也不少。
