Excerpts from Ajahn Pasanno interviwed by Fearless Mountain

Pretty interesting interview with a Canadian born monk in the Sri Lanaka Daily News. He did what many young people here think about doing. He worked and lived his way across Europe, going East, then into Asia, then after having had his traveling experiences settled into monastic life

In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
One mistake is to cling to the literal text and miss the inner principles.
The second mistake is to recognize the principles but not apply them to your own mind, so that you waste time and just make them into causes of entanglement.

Ajahn Pasanno is an excellent teacher. Thank you for that.

To study is to know the texts,
To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.
