Good Day All

Postby Bill » Thu Aug 18, 2011 5:05 pm

Greetings from the western slope of the Wasatch Mountains in northern Utah!

My wife and I begin classes at a local temple in three weeks so it seemed appropriate to participate in an online community as well. We are previous members of a Jodo-Shinshu (BCA) temple.

Anyway, I'm Bill. Pleased to 'meet' you.

Hi Bill and welcome to Dhamma Wheel!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

I'm new as well; newer than you, actually. :woohoo: I hope you stay as I plan to!

Sincerely,
Ace :strawman:
