Oh no! Not Meat Loaf

Postby cooran » Mon Aug 01, 2011 8:08 pm

Meat Loaf shocked fans when he fainted on stage mid-way through performing his most famous hit I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) at a gig.
Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during a gig.

The singer, 63, was performing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Thursday night, when he passed out onstage.

Meat Loaf was half-way through singing I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) when he collapsed at the Amphitheatre at Station Square.

The star was helped back to his feet by a member of his road crew and quickly blamed the incident on his asthma.

'I f***ing fainted. I have asthma, I can't breathe. And then - oh wait, I forgot - I got poked by a pin and bled half to death and then I got slapped in the face and my tooth is loose.'

Meat Loaf soldiered on and finished the rest of his performance while his Guilty Pleasures tour has been unaffected.

I have tickets to his concert in Brisbane in October. They sold out in the first few days.

May he be well and happy.

Greetings,

It's not much fun trying to sing when your asthma is playing up... it's not conducive to a loosening of the airways.

I saw Meatloaf when he was on Celebrity Apprentice... he's an enthusiastic guy.

What a guy!
I saw him on Spicks and Specks some years ago.
Get well Mr Loaf!

It has been a great desire of mine for many years to see "Meat Loaf" dead, and all his fans eradicated from the earth.
Oh, my Kamma is bad.
*edit--he did do that song with the baseball announcer. That was cool.
But--"I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that"? Awful.

Hello all,

So far the Aussie tour is going ahead in October. Fingers crossed!

Just as long as I see and hear him singing this one song – Bat out of Hell:

May he live long and prosper.

Meatloaf reminds me of high school. I was into Zen, and they were into the Rocky Horror show. Thought it was pointless then, and it hasn't aged well.

Alan, I guess you'll be happy then that Richard O'Brien is retiring to New Zealand...

Harmless but dumb. I hate dumb.
P.S. Can I move to New Zealand? If you let me in, I promise to be nice.

I've passed out in Pittsburgh myself, several times. Coincidence? i think not.

Given the current political situation in the U.S., I'll be happy to move to New Zealand even if it means listening to Meat Loaf every day.
