I am Tahti, a 40 something male, a disciple of Master Hua. I am living in the 8-precepts. I was quite literally packing my bag to enter the monastery at CTTB, when my father became gravely ill. He has moderate Alzheimer's Disease. I decided to move to his remote (6 miles from Peru, NY; 50 Miles from Montreal) house, continue in the 8 precepts, and practice filial piety. We are here in solitude.
Staying in precepts is challenging -- but it is no matter what. My practice is Great Compassion Mantra, recitation of Kwan Yin, Universal Door Chapter and Chan. I am currently enjoying walking meditation in the cold blue air -- it is 10 deg F this a.m.
I welcome messages -- I have some time every other day on the internet.
with kindest regards,
tahti
