Today I realised something

Postby xtracorrupt » Sun Oct 28, 2012 3:20 am

Today I realized that nothing else matter then being happy and healthy and making sure other people are happy and healthy

Well, that's a good beginning anyhow.
Now, of those two things, consider which of those two things is most important to you.
Is it to be "healthy and happy" yourself or is it for everyone else to be "healthy and happy" that is the most important one?
Can you be "happy and healthy" yourself or is it really impossible for you to be "healthy and happy" yourself if others are NOT "happy and healthy" also?
What's the answer to that question?
P.S. Okay, I admit it's an unfair question to ask.
Take your time considering the answer. No hurry.
Shame on you Shakyamuni for setting the precedent of leaving home.
Did you think it was not there--
in your wife's lovely face
in your baby's laughter?
Did you think you had to go elsewhere (simply) to find it?

My happiness is of equal value compared to the happiness of someone else, I can always be happy as I have no reason to not be, I cannot judge my health and is depends on many factors, my health is only important for the sake of others, because they may be attached and my suffering/departure may cause suffering as they have not yet understood the meaninglessness of life, there health is important because it is important to live happy and not having to suffer.

The reason for one's happiness being of equal value to another person's is because there is no one to define who's happiness is more important, therefore they are equal

Also this forum is confusing me, are there like 2 different parts of the website? its hard to explain but i find myself easily lost and having complications in returning to threads i have made. I think i have 2 separate accounts?( 2 different post counts?), i don't fully understand the mechanism between the forum posting/thread making

Update: i have realized there is dharmawheel.com and dharmawheel.net

Nope, not going to do it. Others have posted, and I think the thread has potential benefit.

That is great I think! But can you make sure you and other people are going to stay that way? Every persons body is eventually going to become unhealthy and die. What will happen when your body becomes unhealthy and you can't stop it?
One should not kill any living being, nor cause it to be killed, nor should one incite any other to kill. Do never injure any being, whether strong or weak, in this entire universe!

I don't think you should become attached to these laws of reality, I think if u truly want freedom of suffering, you will have no reason to pass on until all sentient being are free of suffering, from my current perspective, I believe humans deserve freedom of suffering the most as I have i have not seen another creature free another completely of suffering, I think perhaps humans suffer the most and after all humans are free of suffering, we should move on the next sentient being with the most pain until eventually we move on to the sentient being with the smallest dellusion, the sentient being with the less suffering,

Ok i do not see a reason for its disposal if you can change what i said into , All that matters is happiness

I originally wanted to change it myself, but seeing as i was unable i thought i didn't want people to value health as much as happiness, as I feel happiness should be the ultimate value. Can you please change it for me?

Hapiness may follow realization :) Happiness tho is about acceptance and gratitude, taking things as you find them and being grateful for what you have. If you compare your happiness to that of others you have started down the road to strife.

EDIT: Couldnt resist elaborating :) Hapiness is something you have, not something you get by some mystical rearrangement of samsaric deck chairs.
The substance of the Absolute is inwardly like wood or stone, in that it is motionless, and outwardly like the void, in that it is without bounds or obstructions. It is neither subjective nor objective, has no specific location, is formless, and cannot vanish. ~Huang Po

Happiness dosen't have to come from a certain thing, happiness can be gained from any situation, and it should be because suffering is unacceptable.
