Thank you all!
Its been a very busy day. I finished off the lasagne I made for 60 people which 21 teenagers and five staff had today for lunch. It took ages getting the bechemel sauce right and I had to dash into Launceston yesterday to get some additional ingredients.
I also baked two cakes this morning to share with staff and students tonight - though haven't iced them yet...
Just getting organised for tonight's 'masterchef' challenge.
The 13-year olds are goign to be working in pairs preparing their own dinner according to recipes I've selected on their little trangier stoves. And I get to judge.
The recipe options are:
- spaghetti bolognaise (meat or veg option)
- chilli con carne with quinoa (meat and veg option)
- massaman beef curry (chicken option avail)
-green vegie and tofu curry (also a chicken option)
- green lentil, potato and lemon soup
Stir-fried beef and vegies with udon noodles
I'm also going to be visited tonight by my wife and kids who will join us all for dinner. I've saved them some of today's lasagne which will save me from cooking an additional meal.
Thanks again for your kind thoughts!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”

in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
