No further study is required when one considers the Electric Star hypothesis, however. Instead of mechanical action (heated gas), the Orion Nebula’s radiant emanations are due to a boost in the current that powers the central stars.

Chi or prana not only pervades we humans, but all the Universe.
Whether the Plasma Cosmologists go that far, I do not know. They seem to emphasize observation over mathematical theories, but still, most of what I have read is couched in terms of 'non-living' magnetism, electricity, plasma currents - forces & energies.
But we shall see what the near future holds.

My worry is that 'legit scientists' will continue to use the 'cranks in the field' notion to scoff at and ignore the argument.
