What do you mean, "Chief Monk?" Are you asking about the Dorje Loppon with the King's "Monastic Body?"

I think you mean the Je Khenpo.

I had the chance to catch a brief glimpse of the Je Khenpo a few years ago when He was traveling by limo from Thimphu to Punakha for the new King's coronation. Everyone else had to get off the road, and soldiers lined the highway from Thimphu to Punakha.

Right, the Je Khenpo is what I meant....he's second to the King of Bhutan.
