The great majority of human beings on earth believes they are "Born".....hence they will die one day.
What do you think?
Do you think you are truly born? or Do you think you were never born at all?
Do you think or do you know or is it just a believe?
Are you "Born"?

Re: Are you "Born"?
There is a saying in one sutta that:
The fly of birds in the sky is traceless. How can you even talk something which is traceless?
Someone who says no born is just as ignorant as someone who says there is born.
Someone who thinks there is no born is just as ignorant as someone who think there is born.
Regardless that is truly born or truly inborn or Intellectually born or intellectually unborn, all are just ignorant.
Not knowing traceless cannot be spoken, even cannot be spoken as no trace.

I am not here nor there.
I am not right nor wrong.
I do not exist neither non-exist.
I am not I nor non-I.
I am not in samsara nor nirvana.
To All Buddhas, I bow down for the teaching of emptiness. Thank You!

Re: Are you "Born"?
Unborn in Buddhist terminology doesn't mean without birth. Unborn means that the appearances of this life have a particular way of being. If you look at your own experiences you can figure it out. If you read books and affix some concept to experiences then you won't really be able to get it and you might think that birth hasn't happened.Nothing wrote:The great majority of human beings on earth believes they are "Born".....hence they will die one day.

"What is the All? Simply the eye & forms, ear & sounds, nose & aromas, tongue & flavors, body & tactile sensations, intellect & ideas. This, monks, is called the All. Anyone who would say, 'Repudiating this All, I will describe another,' if questioned on what exactly might be the grounds for his statement, would be unable to explain, and furthermore, would be put to grief. Why? Because it lies beyond range." Sabba Sutta.

Besides, if you run around claiming to be unborn, your Mom will get really upset with you.
Sergeant Schultz knew everything there was to know.

She had to go through the painful process of child birth and then you run around saying you're unborn!catmoon wrote:Besides, if you run around claiming to be unborn, your Mom will get really upset with you.
