My name is Sel and I'm currently living in London.
In 2005 I borrowed a book off my Mum which was an introduction to Buddhism. Five years later I went to a retreat and now I am looking for a place to go to meditate and a community (I'm near Brixton). I am still only learning Buddhism, as I'm a slow reader and distractable, but what I have learnt so far has helped me a lot.
My job, I help young people get back in to work, which can be challenging, but also is a great teacher. I love cooking and also music. I spend a lot of my spare time down the gym, or socialising and sometimes meditating...
Dunno what else to say!

Hi Sel
Welcome here, it's a great place to be, and growing.
I look forward to discuss things with you on the board.

Re: Hello
Greetings Bounce,
Welcome to Dharma Wheel.
I was in and around Brixton around the time of my 30th birthday and loved it.
I would probably like it all the more now given my subsequent interest in old skool Jamaican dub.
Metta,
Retro.

Re: Hello
Hi Sel! Maybe someday we can swap stories about working in the social services field.
