Praise to Maitreya Bodhisattva
From past aeons, a Celestial, ‘Luminous Wisdom’, is He,
Wonderfully unutterable was His Samadhi of Great Kindness,
From a southern adorned Land, ‘Ocean Coast’,
Ascending to Tushita Heaven, a Buddha next, in His Successive Birth,
Perfected mind and consciousness, its clarity resonates the Tenfold Directions’ Realms,
Cultivated merit and virtue, in His Nature, concurrently fulfilling,
In the Inner Courtyard, many have taken birth,
At the Dragon Flower Assembly, obtaining a First Augury
Homage! One of Inner Courtyard of Tushita Heaven, of Ten Thousand Virtues,
Future Arriving, Anticipated Next Birth, Maitreya, Honoured Buddha.
Namo Future Arriving, Anticipated Next Birth, Maitreya, Honoured Buddha!
(Recite while circumnambulating)

The Great Maitreya Gatha
Maitreya Buddha!
A disguised simpleton,
Awaiting street sojourners,
Bearing a cloth sack and smiling widely,
With a wide open mouth and an exultant heart.
The Triple Realms of Existence, a perilous place.
Will iron trees blossom?
Daily, He sits anticipating the Future,
When He ascends to His rightful Lotus Terrace!
Daily, He sits anticipating the Future,
When He ascends to His rightful Lotus Terrace!

Abhisamayalankara-prajnaparamita-upadesha-shastra
of the Next Buddha maitreya (the beginning)

I bow down to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

She is the one who -through the all-knowledge- guides the hearers
who search for peace to utter peace.
She is the one who -through the knowledge of the path- enables those
who promote the benefit of beings to accomplish
the welfare of the world.
Since they are perfectly endowed with Her, the sages proclaim this
variety endowed with all aspects.
I bow down to Her - the mother of the Buddhas as well as the assemblies
of hearers and bodhisattvas.
svaha
"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.
They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
Sarvē mānavāḥ svatantrāḥ samutpannāḥ vartantē api ca, gauravadr̥śā adhikāradr̥śā ca samānāḥ ēva vartantē. Ētē sarvē cētanā-tarka-śaktibhyāṁ susampannāḥ santi. Api ca, sarvē’pi bandhutva-bhāvanayā parasparaṁ vyavaharantu."

(from)118 Parables of Bodhicitta As Taught by the Next Buddha Maitreya

1. Bodhicitta is like a seed,
Because the teachings of all Buddhas sprout from it.

2. Bodhicitta is like a fertile field,
Because all pure and white Dharma grows in it.

3. Bodhicitta is like the Earth,
Because it can sustain everything.

4. Bodhicitta is like pure water,
Because it can wash away the dirt of all sorrows.

5. Bodhicitta is like a great wind,
Because it spreads all over the world without any hindrance.

6. Bodhicitta is like a blazing fire,
Because it can burn up the woods of perversive views.

7. Bodhicitta is like a clear Sun,
Because it lights up everywhere.

8. Bodhicitta is like the full Moon,
Because it contains all pure and white Dharmas.

Brahma's Diadem, a Praise of Maitreya( beginning)

Reverence to Glorious Guru Manjughosha !

Ever showering them with tender love,
He yet burns the friends of darkness.
Though He has cut off the toughest bonds
He binds himself tightly with compassion.
Ever possessed of peaceful equanimity
He cherishes others more than himself.
Bowing humbly at the feet of Manjughosha,
I praise the Guardian Invincible Maitreya!

Four-faced Brahma praises Him with many mouths,
Thousand-eyed Indra always gazes at Him with devotion,
Rati's Kama drops his pride and bowes down to Him.
Reverently, I worship the Regent's feet!

As sunlight opens the lotuses in clear lakes,
As the clear-sky star lord makes lily gardens bloom,
So the sight of His body, wreathed in auspicious signs,
Captivates living beings' hearts, the moment they see it.
May the lootus foot of my Guardian Maitreya
Grace the crown of my head in all my lives!
