All the themes of randomness and ambiguity are feeding into a longing for disorder and chaos. It's a giant social death wish. We need to counter this with the brightness of spirituality. Best to be honest about the situation. We live in times of great decline.
We need to be realistic too. While some things are in decline, other things are flourishing, while many things continue as they were. A balanced view avoids the extremes of dark pessimism and giddy optimism. Neither state is useful.
We each do what we can to bring about positive trends within our own sphere of influence. No need to project into the future (unless, of course, this is a role we are appointed to).
