We need to be realistic too. While some things are in decline, other things are flourishing, while many things continue as they were. A balanced view avoids the extremes of dark pessimism and giddy optimism. Neither state is useful.

Aversion for samsara is generally beneficial for us unliberated folks.

Neither will pouting, but having an positive attitude can give you the energy to solve the problems. Our perceptions are interpretive. And those interpretations are are interdependent with the conditions of the world. Science acknowledges this. If you see failure, that is what will happen.
