I deny them.

I do not btw have any problem with the OP having a different take on Dhamma and deciding that his is best.
In fact I respect that as being clear, clean, and free of greeny yallery inclusionist fog.
Thats absolutely OK.
My only issue issue is in his feeling the need to say so on a Theravadin Forum.

“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

"When one thing is practiced & pursued, ignorance is abandoned, clear knowing arises, the conceit 'I am' is abandoned, latent tendencies are uprooted, fetters are abandoned. Which one thing? Mindfulness immersed in the body." -AN 1.230

Hi tamdrin,
Whereabouts in that do you mean in particular ? Please be more specific....or are people expected to read Gampopa's whole text to find out what you are refering to?

.
Between pages 51 and 54/55 of this text you will find that to which I refer.
I don't have your book, I have Ringu Tulku's commentary and his related teachings on the text, so a title of the section to which you refer would be helpful.

.
It's in ch. 1 the primary cause (Buddha Nature).

Where did I make claims of any kind ? I told you that my then root Lama sent me to do medical training with a view to becoming a psychiatrist.
I did as requested.

That root lama is dead. I am no longer a Vajra followers and have not been for many years.

If I believed the mumbo jumbo about " vows" I would still be a vajrayana student.

I am though grateful to that teacher in many ways.

Negative ? Only in terms of what the Pali Canon is teaching and from which TNH differs in significant areas. TNH take on things may be perfectly consistant with much Mahayana teaching. Having said that the Vajrayanists are highly ambivilent about him.

Saying that apples are not oranges is not negative.
