A Bhikshuni teaching Buddha Dharma in Iowa

Ven Hong Yang introduces herself. She is the only resident Bhikshuni for the state of Iowa.
She is from Iowa and returned after leaving home right after 9/11/01 to respond to the cry of New York City's mayor for immediate arrival of counselors for their citizens.
Previously arranged a trip in August with Ven. Kuan Neng to visit his temple Xi Fang Temple in NYC Brookllyn.
She left and tonsured as novice on 5/8/02 then was accepted for full ordination as a bhikshuni in 12/2004 in Yuan Heng Temple, Gaoshiung Taiwan.
She a translator of the Taisho edition of the Mahayana Chinese Tripitaka.
