Latley i have been intersted in the tibetan way of meditation and i was wondering if there is some kind of path to follow in terms of wich meditations techniques should i use and how long to use them. For example iv heard that is useful to meditate on death for a while at the begining years.
I was hoping that someone with some experiencie can guide me a little bit.
Greetings, sry about my english.
Stick with Metta and Sati meditation until you find yourself a teacher in the tradition you feel the most affinity for. These two techniques are the basis for more complex practices (in all traditions) that you may wish to practice in the future. Without a solid basis...
I would not meditate on death without the guidance of a teacher because it is easy to fall into morbid morseness and nihilism (like Gothic types).
