What Makes an Elder? :
A head of gray hairs doesn't mean one's an elder. Advanced in years, one's called an old fool.
But one in whom there is truth, restraint, rectitude, gentleness,self-control, he's called an elder, his impurities disgorged, enlightened.

This has become silly, which was probably inevitable given the subject.

Ron: what do trees eat? :D
I said most, not all, to preemptively take into account the varied ideas about sentience, etc. Didn't want to get back into that discussion.

I hope this irrelevant thread will now conclude with out any Vegan protest.

Trees might be better considered as Sun-itarions. It's true they get water and minerals from the soil, but most of them rely on photosynthesis. That's why they have leaves.

Speaking of wood...
I was actually wondering how much the average tree weighs after having moved about four or five large trees cut into firewood rounds by hand (wheel-barrow) this week. I swear my arms are at least 20cm longer.

We Sunitarians like to keep our trees hidden while we chant to the Sun Gods.
