The City has many hidden gems including conservation villagey areas, beautiful Dickensian warehouse conversion and the smell of log fire during the winter

Oh, there is no doubt that there are many hidden gems in London, but it's the very blatantly obvious grey, drizzley, suburban and urban moroseness that puts me off the place.
