Dawa Tsering Lama is known as Khenpo Tsumdu was born in Nubri
At the age of 16 he beacame a monk at Benchen Monastery, Katmandu
under the guidance of HE Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche and
Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche for 3 years At age 19, he was sent to Karma
Shri Nalanda Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies in RUmtek Sikkim
After 12 years of studey he complted his Acharya degree in Buddhist
Philosophy and taught at Rumtek for 1 year After which he returned to
Benchen Monastery and has been teaching the monks since 2009
