Firstly, is that a fair summation of the teachings in the DC ?
How does that differ from the view of Vajrayana, for example with regard to HYT, which may be seen as a direct path in its own right?
DI teachings is what the Master always taught ... he often insists on the sense of the teaching, which is still maybe not very clear for some. He also insists on the fact that "you have to realize, this is your path".

So secondary practices don't differe from Vajrayana, they are Vajrayana practices ... this not Dzogchen
