Post by kalden yungdrung »

Tashi delek,

In the States there is a Bon Geshela who is giving webcam Teachings since a long time.

His name is Geshela Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche and he is giving Guided Dzogchen Meditation.

Yes In 1988 he began to teach in Italy at the invitation of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. So he is also wellknown in DC.

Here the DC of Geshela Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in the US.

KY, often it seems to me that you think "DC" means Dzog Chen. But for most of us, DC means Dzogchen Community - the community which was created by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche.
Although many individuals in this age appear to be merely indulging their worldly desires, one does not have the capacity to judge them, so it is best to train in pure vision.

TWR also has several series of teachings on youtube. I've been working with his video teachings/guided meditations for several months now and they are excellent.

Tashi delek,

- Why do you think that these teachings are for you excellent?
- What about the quality of these Teachings?

I did watch many webcam / video teachings, but never did ask another person about his/her opinions.

Why are they excellent for me? First there was an immediate connection with TWR. I found I was experiencing what he was describing as he was talking. He said, "Stillness", I experienced stillness, he said, "Silence" I experienced silence...all I was doing was listening and all this was happening without an effort on my part. And I'm doing one of these, :woohoo: and thinking, "Holy Cow!! Who are You?!!"
How he teaches fits perfectly with how I learn, I'm very Right-brained, an experiential learner, and most teachings are geared to Left-brain, ego-based folks who need to move to the non-dual side and then integrate it. I need the exact opposite, those videos are not something I watch, they are something I experience, a living encounter beyond time and space....so how and what Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche teaches and transmits works for me.
Most Excellent indeed!!

Tashi delek,

Thanks for your reply.

It is the first time that i can imagine myself about another ones experience regarding TWR webcam Teachings.

For me personal TWR is doing a great job, because he does make use of the web cam to make contact worldwide and it works, like you told. Web cam teachings do save time and money. Saving money, is in these days of hard recession very welcome.

That is what i tried to investigate, because i guess my personal experience doesn' t count in this case so much like another ones experience......

Anyway thanks for your openess and friendly reply. :D

I'm interested in your personal experiences with these webcasts if you care to share them.
What is the point of dharma if it does not enable us to act with love and openness toward others?
Just in case you haven't seen this yet.

Tashi delek,

Thanks for your post.

It is great that by webcam Teachings a lot of people can be reached, like invalid persons.

His teachings are very basic so good to understand for beginners and he is a very modern fashioned person.
But because his teachings are so basic it is for me personal not so "interesting" but sure for others very interesting.
My level of understanding has nothing to do with others, or what is not usefull for me would also be not usefull for others, sure it is the case.

So its a great job and many persons like the charisma of TWR. His teachers are undoubtly Lopon Tenzin Namdak and H.H. the Menri Abbot. So TWR is well educated.

His DC in the US is also a huge organisation with many branches worldwide and they did erect in Mexico that huge Bon Chorten.
