Hevajra and Vajrayogini initiations, June 2010

Sakya Thubten Ling are highly honoured and privileged to host H.H.Sakya Trizin (head of the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Buddhism) once again in Bournemouth. Whilst here His Holiness will be bestowing Vajrayogini initiation.

Vajrayogini belongs to the highest Yoga Tantra symbolizing the female tantric aspect of the Buddha embodying the union of bliss and emptiness. Her practice includes methods for transforming all mundane daily experiences into higher spiritual paths.
As a prerequisite students will need to have already received either Chakrasamvara or Hevajra initiation, so His Holiness will bestow Hevajra initiation beforehand.

Hevajra also belongs to the highest Yoga Tantra teaching the union of skillful means and profound cognition. According to the Sakya tradition Hevajra belongs to the sub-class of ‘non-dual’ tantra, the inseparability of
wordly existence (samsara) and enlightenment.

Sat/Sun 5th/6th June 10am - Hevajra. Dorset Cricket Centre, Hurn, Christchurch.
Mon/Tues 7th/8th June Vajrayogini - Dorset Cricket Centre, Hurn, Christchurch.

Thurs 10th June 7.30pm - Public Talk by His Holiness on "Buddhism Today". Carrington House Hotel, Boscombe, Bournemouth.
