Hey everyone. I just wanted to share the artwork of Sergey Noskov here. I commissioned him to have a thangka done of Avalokiteshvara Korwa Tongtrug as a gift to a teacher this year. He did an absolutely amazing job. Check it out:

This form of Avalokitescara is called Korwa Tongtrug, which means to overturn or empty samsara

All forms of Avalokiteshvara are important and they are considered lucky in the orient too. Of course the main importance for us is his significance to Tibetan Buddhism and it's sacred institutions which are under attack in this era as Padmasambhava prophesied to many masters since the 19th century and even before in pure visions and terma. His main seat is the Potala mountain which in the outward sense only is under malevolent Chinese regime's occupation in Lhasa. It is not just Potala though. He is the protector of the land of Snow, Tibet, against enemies because as he said like India that is where the Buddhadharma resonates most. Of course as we know by his thousand arms his main manifestations are the thousand Buddhas for us lucky ones on earth and we live in the Victor Shakyamuni's glorious fortunate era and have teachers like ChNNR who present the high pure unmixed Buddhadharma.
