What's your favorite Zen book? Right now mine is Zenkei Shibayama's Gateless Barrier: Comments on the Mumonkan.
I also like Charles Luk's Chinese Zen translations very much and am always surprised by how few American people who are "into" Zen know about them. I particularly enjoyed Transmission of the Mind Outside the Teaching.

My favorites are the ones from Philip Kapleau, Charlotte Joko Beck, Katsuki Sekida, and Ming Zhen Shakya.
