Tashi delek,

Don't know what is meant by white Sangha, maybe Ngakpa?

Would recommend you Namdrol Ling Monastery in India.

Tashi delek,

It can happen that in big Dharma Centers, the communication is sometimes difficult.
But a good alternative would be take the phone and make a caall.

Hope anyway that you get very soon a result. :)

It is difficult to communicate with monasteries in general. They don't work like centers in the West.

You know Tibetan? Do you have funds for a prolonged stay in India?
Namdroling probably don't answer because they don't know what to do with you. There is no curriculum to become a ngakpa, it is more like a lifestyle.

Tashi delek,

The best way is to go to India and visit on good luck a monastery(ies).
Friendship is easy made with the monks and an eventual date with the abbot is also mostly possible if one does stay long enough around a monastery.
Afterwards is internet / webcam etc. possible in case of maintaining the relationship.

I met in Dehra Dun for instance a nice Nyingmapa Tulku, it was a small monastery with the Rinpoche residing at the "penthouse", where he did practice Dream Yoga, when i did entered his room.

Yes it is always possible to come in contact with realised Masters, if you go to there, India / Nepal / Bhutan / Tibet.
Another option would be to follow a Teaching in your country of some Nyingma Rinpoches / Tulkus.

Good luck!

You want to become a ngakpa? Great!
All you have to do is practice. Plenty of great teachers can teach you had to do that.

Thanks, but my problem is to find a suitable Monastery /school and a Guru to accompany me. Here in Austria there are very few possibilities, specially in Nyingma tradition, no qualified Lamas.

You can't go wrong with Heart's Guru.
Also, check out the Tara Program that Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche has going on......most of it is "distance learning," and it's a complete set of practice instructions.

Re: Namdroling

The monastery prefers that potential visitors first connect with the lineage via on of the international Palyul Dharma centers.

http://palyul.org/eng_centers-list.htm

Namdroling is a fully monastic institution, mainly concerned with the training of monks and nuns.

Hey Damchoe,

You need to put up another blog post again. Last one was very interesting.

Tashi delek,

Yes indeed Namdroling is monastic. For me personal, was it always important to visit the Linegae Holder / Rigdzin and Spiritual Head.
Then i am well informed about all and can go my way with recommendation very easy.

But in very big Monasteries from Nyingma , Kagyud etc., it is nearly impossible to get a date.

Therefore are other possibilities maybe better like visiting a Teaching in Switzerland or somewhere else. Nyingma is very widespread.
But also there it is important to make in time an audiance with the Dzogchen Master :D

I second this recommendation. They have a ngakpa school and everything. I think calling would be a good idea. I think at least of their Khenpos at Namdroling has a Facebook page, too, and so you could post on his wall if you can't get through to the monastery.

Okay, Khenpo Norgay's Facebook is here: https://www.facebook.com/tnorgay" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
