Thought I'd Join In

Postby PaulGar » Sun Dec 26, 2010 8:20 am

I came across this site while looking for something else – I always seem to come across great things that way. I was once a member of eSangha and miss having other Buddhists to chat with. I stopped using that site for a couple of weeks and when I tried to log on again it was gone – it was like I’d been abandoned at a bus-stop or something :-)

I'm Irish but have lived in Thailand for the last decade. I work as a freelance writer. I'm philosophically Buddhist but don't belong to any particular sect - although I tend to focus mostly on Theravada. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and talking about Dhamma.

Hi Paul! :hello:

I too am ex-eSangha. I still miss it sometimes. I really loved that site, even though so many people had issues with it.

I think you will find Dhamma Wheel quite a pleasant place to be. Very intellectually and spiritually stimulating. I find that when I'm away from such great conversation and Buddhist-oriented guidance for too long, I start to drift away from my practice. It's a good place to get me back on track.
