Schedule of HH Karmapa Urgyen Trinley

Postby JKhedrup » Wed May 30, 2012 8:59 am

Dear members,

I am heading to India in the middle of June and would very much like to attend some teachings with HH Karmapa if possible.
While studying Tibetan in Dharamsala from 2008-2010 there were many opportunities at Gyuto to take teachings with HHK
as well as occasionally jenangs. However, the website I found simply gives general information for visiting HHK in India
without any real schedule. Does anyone know where I might find this information?
In order to ensure my mind never comes under the power of the self-cherishing attitude,
I must obtain control over my own mind.
Therefore, amongst all empowerments, the empowerment that gives me control over my mind is the best,
and I have received the most profound empowerment with this teaching.

Thanks so much for the info. I am not on Facebook so often out of the loop!

I am there mid June until the end of August. The audiences are nice but teachings would be much better. Would have to travel up from Sera.
Strangely often the teachings at Gyuto were not posted on the website, at least as I remember. Perhaps I'll have to wait until I can attend the next Kagyu Monlam.

Hi Khedrup,

Just in case you are in Dharamsala in October you ought to try and attend this very special transmission of the 3rd Karmapa's Chod...

:tantrum:
Would absolutely love to take such precious teachings from HHK on a practice I am really interested in.
But alas, Geshe la and myself have to be back in Europe before that time as he will be starting long term teachings there.
It's a real bummer. I have found HH Karmapa's teachings so beneficial and getting to India is not so easy,
so would have been nice if it had of worked out.

Does anyone have further details about HH's Chod empowerment? I've heard there's a waiting list, and haven't been able to get any information, they must be crazy busy. All I know is the general location with a suggestion to "just show up"...
