Shower Temperature

What temperature should one take a shower.bath at? I usually take hot, steamy showers, but I think it makes my muscles tight and usually leaves me with too much heat. When I lived in Thailand I took only cold showers (all that was available) and after getting used to it, I really liked it. It felt great. But then again, the climate there was tropical.
