Mite Allergies

Dear TM-doctor,

This is a post on behalf of my wife. Our dog has mite allergies since a couple years and, even though we tried desensitization (with the use of injections), he remains horribly itchy. We know steroids would work, but since they have so many health risks associated with them, we rather go this route.
My wife wants to have some rituals done for him (through monlam.org) and wants to know what a real TM-doctor would advice. Maybe no rituals at all, but just some medicine to give?

Any help would be much appreciated. Though I can't Phowa him to the Purelands, I can try to make his life a little less itchy.
