New Moderators: tobes and Sherab Dorje

Postby DGA » Tue Apr 22, 2014 3:11 pm

I would like to welcome tobes and Sherab Dorje to the staff of DharmaWheel as global moderators, and thank them for their willingness to volunteer their time to keep this place a well-organized space for public discourse on the Buddhist teachings. Tobes is a new moderator, and Sherab Dorje is returning to the team after a sabbatical.

Good luck guys. Hope it isn't too much a pain in the butt for you.

So is somebody else rotating out?

No. However, the workload is increasing in some respects, and some members of the team are dividing their time very carefully among family commitments (growing families in some cases), Dharma commitments, work commitments, and so on. Many hands lighten the load.

Also, Sherab Dorje had requested leave some time ago, and recently decided he was ready to return, so we're happy to have him back.

Hi Ayu, there've been some team changes. Some people leaving, new (hopefully) coming in. There will be an official announcement soon, no doubt.

It's true: Sherab Dorje, after many months of long and dedicated service, has resigned his role as a moderator. He has all our sincere thanks for his committed service to the board.

Dan74 is correct that there are other changes coming to the DharmaWheel team, to be announced at an appropriate time (soon). We will be adding at least one new moderator.
