Glonnie, walking on the road
Straight line they say shortest way between two points
Not for glonnie glonnie thinks, shortest way to a little to the left
to a little to the right, straight in the end glonnie thinks

Glonnie spies res dog
Res dog grey speckled no color really
res dogs mouth out always tongue panting
res dog always skinny
res dog never fat
res dog always going somewhere
res dog fleas and ticks around
res dog glonnie never wants to hold

glonnie then thinks as glonnie does
res dog and glonnie the same
res dog wanting
glonnie wanting something to drink

res dog walks glonnie walks
song comes on the radio
radio singing they will not give glonnie a ride
hand out thumb high
old car coming this must be ride
no belligana in old car only
never belligana give ride

glonnie out in sun
glonnie like ginne glonnie thinks
dark as ginne glonnie sees
is glonnie same as ginnie glonnie thinks
glonnie thinks a bit then leaves it well alone.

glonnie walks then to post and see car that passed
song singing radio or cd fast.

song that is singins glonnie likes...Vincent Craia
dead glonnie likes
glonnie spends a minute listening
then glonnie walks again
side to side making a crooked walk straight.

This is creative writing. This is a play of sorts.

This is a world away from Buddhism though I have met some who reside in it..it is relatively rare.

Cast:(unfortunately mispelled  )
Res...native american indian reservation, in this reference the navajo reservation.
Glonnie...A person with a permanant drinking problem, who displays as a vagrant who only wants alcohol. Glonnies on the res hitchhike around.
Ginnie...a called very dark skinned person
Billigana...a called very light skinned person
Vincent Craig...a famous navajo singer who sings both traditional or religious and secular songs. This is his most famous secular song. Humor is a second nature to all things navajo. Suchly is this song. The way of talking is a hit at the humor in how res navajos may be thought of as talking, and perhaps acting a bit.
He died in May of 10.
Res dog...this is a reservation dog. Dogs on the reservation have evolved in a particular way. They will not bother people or be vicious to them. All, about all male navajos, and a bunch of females, have guns or access to guns and any dog that is vicious is summarily dispatched. Or they have just bred out as consequence their viciousness, though they certainly bark a lot.
There is no animal control in res towns for the most part and cattle and dogs and cats and things have free reign with perameters of behavior established. Seeing a bunch of cattle lounging under a sign shodow in a town such as shiprock right next to the thataburger is the norm.
On occasion in res towns of mixed populations such as nakhi(hispantic) white(bliigana) and navajo or other indians(keesanas) dogs are present which may kill people but these are not really res dogs though the town or city may be technically on the res. City peoples tend to reinforce the vicious in dogs I suppose.

So is provided a glimpse of a culture though american is foreign to most americans, and foreign about to all buddhists. This is not intended to be a negative reference.
Included is the potential thoughts of one in that culture that despite being a glonnie contemplates things of perhaps religious intention.
All tribes do have their own religion. Peoples in these area are like as not religious converts to fundamental christianity.
Some native religions adapting as a mix of native and catholic religions. Some retain pretty pure native religions. The navajos do for the most part when not christian.

So it is creative writing. Some may find it interesting. Some not.
Some may say it is negative, but as the basis of navajo is to find humor in all, I'd doubt navajo would.(just my opinion).

The peoples in the dominate american culture have some very select responses to this subculture....they romanticize it, disregard its negative aspects and refer to it most usually in a solely religious or historical context.
They denigrate it, and consider the peoples as subhuman.
or they consider the peoples within as being in need of americanization, educaiton to make them fully american.

So what is proper who is right and who is wrong in glonnie and res dog?
I expect few will here find it remotely interesting or worth reading, which I suspect is the proper right or wrong of this thing.
