The first day of the Australian Kagyu Monlam was absolutely wonderful. Such a rich variety of spiritual experiences, welcome to country, inter-faith prayers, sacred chanting, Holy Relics, peaceful aspirations, a wonderful sand mandala and receiving the video message from His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa. The shrine is spectacular and well worth a visit to see it, the Torma, Tibetan butter sculptures, and the giant Thankas
