Event : Buddha Pilgrimage Tour with Drikung Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche

The pilgrimage will start in Bodhgaya, the place where Buddha Shakyamuni attained full Enlightenment
The second site to be visited will be Sarnath near Varanasi, the deer park where the Buddha first turned the wheel of Dharma
The third place on the Pilgrimage Tour will be Kushinagar, where the Buddha passed into Mahaparinirvana
Lumbini in Nepal on the Indian border, where Buddha Shakyamuni took birth will mark the end of the pilgrimage.
Along the way there will also be visits to other important Buddhist places, such as Vulture's Peak near Rajagriha, where the Buddha taught the Prajnaparamita Sutras and also Nalanda, the site of the eminent ancient monastic university associated with the famous Seventeen Masters of Nalanda, of utmost importance for the development of Mahāyāna Buddhism. Nearby Sarnath, in Varanasi, considered as one of the holiest places of Hinduism, there will also be a boat tour on the River Ganges at sunrise along the famous ghats.
Please note: All participants should apply for an Indian Visa for Double Entry, as we need to come back from Lumbini to Delhi. In addition, to visit Lumbini a Visa for Nepal is also needed.
