  • Concept of our subtle energy body, Channels, Chakras, Energy flows

Techniques to revive, balance & transform Five Elements in our body

Techniques to use our body to develop awareness & clarity, generate compassion for the benefit of all beings, realize our true primordial nature

Tummo: 3 Days Intensive Teaching
September 17 - 19th, 9 am - 5 pm

Tummo practice (Inner Heat or Chandali in Sanskrit) is advanced yogic practice & profound spiritual method. Carefully using a series of physical movements, visualizations & breathing, inner heat is generated & spread throughout the body. The energy generated is not primarily to warm the body of practitioner, but to open most subtle channels, support spiritual realizations & achieving Enlightenment.

In this teaching, Tulku Lobsang will explain:
  • Physical & breathing techniques, the method to ignite Tummo

Techniques to generate Great Wisdom & Bliss, achieve clear and calm mind

Techniques to produce objective results that you can measure, regardless of your beliefs.
While Tummo is an advanced practice, no particular beliefs or prior experience is necessary because this practice works with the natural state of body & energy system.

Could you tell us what specific lineage of Tummo practice and instruction Tulku Lobsang will be teaching?

"Absolute Truth is not an object of analytical discourse or great discriminating wisdom,
It is realized through the blessing grace of the Guru and fortunate Karmic potential.
Like this, mistaken ideas of discriminating wisdom are clarified."
- (Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche, from his summary of "The Ocean of Definitive Meaning")

Last year he was teaching according to Chakrasamvara in Karma Kamtsang (Karma Kagyu) tradition.

It might be because we had several practitioners with Chakrasamvara empowerment - he asked the audience before the teaching regarding the state of their practice and empowerment they had.
In general, it looks like he has transmissions from other lineages as well. I did not ask about it specifically, but when I asked him questions, he brought 2 texts and showed drawings - one text was Sakya text, another was Kalachakra text.

On a personal note:
Until now I received the teaching on Tummo 3 times from 3 different masters. I have to say that I would not be able to practice Tummo with confidence without Tulku Lobsang's teaching - he explained everything directly in details, showed trulkhor exercises and spent entire day making sure we got them right, the rest of the retreat we spent making sure we got actual experience of Tummo, he explained meditation techniques/how to meditate in 4 sessions and how to overcome different obstacles of practice that may occur to keep it safe.

Also privately he answered my questions to the point, getting to the direct meaning of things, without beating around the bushes (which was quite refreshing, considering it was my first teaching with him).
Later, when I was able to get from India some original texts and translations relating to the practice, I realized that he gave the best teaching on Tummo - it covered everything that was explained in those detailed texts/commentaries.

So one can learn this just in a couple of days?

People were very reluctant when I asked about Tummo in general in http://dharmawheel.net/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=20968.
