Saturday the 19th we saw, in a light rain, this glorious, dark green jade Buddha image. Probably the largest, gem quality jade buddha in the world - four tons, eight feet high. This Jade Buddha began visiting temples (mainly Vietnamese) in 2009. It will be in Ventura, California another week, then on to Phoenix, Arizona. It will remain touring the planet for several more years, until the Universal Compassion stupa is finished in Australia; that will be its final home. http://jadebuddha.org.au/index.php
