Taking Lay Bodhisattva Precepts

In late July-early August, at the City of 10,000 Buddhas, lay folks may formally take the Bodhisattva precepts.

Every time you recite Amita Buddha’s name, a ray of light shines through empty space. If you recite very sincerely, then this light fills up the universe, so that the energy of all worlds will be auspicious and harmonious.

BDK also has a translation of the Upasaka Precepts Sutra, but here is chapter 14 by Rulu giving more regarding the lay precepts:

The deadline for applications is March 15th.
