Siddharth Kagyu Buddhist Society Johor Bahru with association of Nyima Educational Foundation located in Nepal
will be organizing the Tripitaka Chanting Program for World Peace from 22/7/2012 to 31/8/2012
which is a duration of 41 days. PLEASE CLICK TO SEE MORE. This will be the first ever Kangyur reading to be held in South East Asia for World Peace.
The Opening Ceremony will be conducted by Venerable Lama Mukhya Gurung on 22/7/2012 from 9am onwards followed
by the commencing of Kangyur Recitation which will be a 40 consecutive days affair.
You are invited to join us in this auspicious event and hand in hand dedicate the great benefits accumulated to the liberation of all beings from
the ocean of samsara. Your participation will be greatly appreciated.
Time and Venue will be 8.30am to 9.30pm daily at Siddharth Kagyu Buddhist Society which is located at No. 7 Jalan Chengai, Taman Kebun Teh, 80250, Johor Bahru, Johor (Estimated Coordinates N 1° 29.576' E 103° 45.627')
Participants will recite the Heart Sutra (Chinese Version) throughout the auspicious occasions. The merits accumulated by one day participation
of the event is equivalent to that of reading the whole volume of Kangyur.
Kangyur literally means the 'translated words' of the Buddha consisting of works in about 108 volumes. The benefits of reciting Kangyur
are as listed below.
1. Exhausts each and every obscuration and negative karma accumulated over many lives.
2. Pacifies Sufferings
3. Brings forth peace, happiness and prosperity
4. Blessings from the Buddhas and Boddhisattvas
5. Accomplishing ultimate wisdom and compassion or be liberated/attain enlightenment.
