I'm starting to dig around for a teacher in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, but the only Theravada groups are Dhammayuttika Nikaya. There are plenty of Mahayana groups here that seem more established and Western. There's also a Therevada group that meets at the Universal Unitarian church, but I suspect they're a little too "Western" for me.
Does anyone have any experience or insight into Dhammayuttika Nikaya? I'm trying to find more information about what they believe and what differentiates them from others, but I haven't found what I'm looking for yet.
