Thx for posting soap. I got in about 45 minutes late so I was wondering:

Was the transmission of the gana puja and guru yoga at the beginning?
Or did the entire teaching constitute transmission of the practices? If so, is there some way to access the particular texts?

Thx =]

The first hour was mostly a very insightful analysis of Sutrayana and Vajrayana. The Ganapuja is going to happen tomorrow at noon locat time, apparently.

And so the 2nd hour was what? At any point was there an oral transmission?

He explained what Ati Guru Yoga meant, but as far as I understood there wasn't a transmission for it. (I'm a newbie remember :emb:)

But he did transmit (?) the short Ganapuja, which I could follow in the Tun book.

Most of the time he talked about the Dzogchen approach, etc.

[I am sitting on my hands so that I don't say anything to provoke a heated discussion regarding his approach about inclusion of meat into Ganapuja. No sir, I will stay quiet.]

I am very new as well, especially to Rinpoche's teachings. So thank you for the clarification.

Also, on the vein of being new, what is "the Tun book" ?

Transmission happens any time when you do ati guru yoga together with Rinpoche. Although there are specifically designated dates for a more ritualized, official transmission, performed on special beneficial days.

The tun book is a collection of most common practice texts with pictures:

Ganapuja has been transferred to today.

Good luck, everyone, and welcome to those who're new. :group:
