Amitabha Empowerment

There are many Pure Lands of Enlightened Beings call Buddhas. The Blissful Pure Land of Amitabha is the easiest to get to and therefore quite special. Through the power of prayer, of devoted and fervent aspiration, one can accomplish the transference of one¡¦s consciousness to Amitabha¡¦s pureland. It is into this pure land that, after death in this world, further teachings are received from Amitabha himself and from countless other Buddhas inhabiting this realm, and experiencing none of the cyclic existence and forever free from having to take lower rebirth.

Phowa Teaching & Oral Transmission

Phowa literally means "transference of consciousness" . It is the transference of consciousness to a pure land at the time of death. The practice of Phowa is one of the profound teachings of Tibetan Buddhism. It is a unique practice because it leads a swift path to liberation without long periods of meditation, and training. To practice and realize the benefits of Phowa, one needs to receive empowerment and oral transmission from a qualified teacher. For individuals living a busy modern life, the Phowa practice is ideal.

Lama Tsewang Rinpoche

Tsewang Rinpoche is a highly recognized Kagyu lineage master in Tibetan Buddhism. He graduated from the Nechung College for Buddhist Studies in Lhasa when he was 19 and has completed the traditional Kagyu three year, three month retreat program. In 1987, Rinpoche dedicated himself to Kyabje Drupon Dechen Rinpoche of Tsurphu Monastery as his Guru Lama, and later was appointed as abbot of Naenang Monastery. In 2000, he became the one assigned by Karmapa to plan and coordinate Karmapa's trip to India. Since 2002, Tsewang Rinpoche has been working selflessly to spread Buddhadharma in the United States as well as South East Asia. In 2006, Tsewang Rinpoche founded Da Nang Benevolence Association to realize his aspirations to continue his dharmic activities to benefit all sentient beings.
