Root guru? Mother sentient beings?

Postby saraswati » Wed May 14, 2014 1:29 pm

Dear friends: could someone give me the Tibetan (or even Sanskrit) terms for the above concepts?

I still don't understand the difference between guru/root guru/lama, but that is a topic for another subforum, maybe. But knowing the terms when they appear in chants would help.

Thank you in advance. And, happy Wesak to all!

So called “sentient beings” are merely delusions self-appearing from the dhātu of luminosity.

Thank you! :namaste:

Does the concept of mother sentient being come from the Indian Mahayana tradition? Is there a Sanskrit term for this?
