Kunrig is the biggest ritual offering in Bon tradition in terms of its
benefits, time taken for its performance and its cost.
Following are the five main Yidam (deities) involved in this ritual.

· Shivai Lha Tsog (Peaceful group of deities)
· Gyepai Lha Tsog(Group of enriching deities)
( Kunnang Chappa being main deties)

Wang Gi Lha Tsog (Initiation group of deities)
Drag Poe Lha Tsog (Wrathful group of deties)
Kusum Mai Lha'i Lha Tsog (Three bodies of fire deities)
The benefits of each Yidam:

Drag Poe Lha Tsog (Wrathful group of deties)
Kusum Mai Lha'i Lha Tsog (Three bodies of fire deities)
The benefits of each Yidam:

Shivai Lha Tsog Purifies obscuration and accumulates merit.
Gyepai Lha Tsog Prolong life span, brings name, fame, luck, money and overall
prosperity.
Wang Gi Lha Tsog Brings freedom in your work and decision and become more
influential in the community.
Drag Poe Lha Tsog Subdues all the enemies and harmful spirits.
Kusum Mai Lha'i Lha Tsog has the power of all the above four deities by
integrating them in itself.

Dolpo district is situated in most remote area of western Nepal. There are
almost ten big Bon Buddhist monasteries and many small subsidiary monasteries in
the region. Most of the big monasteries are tantric monastery headed by
respective lineage holder. Traditionally there are no formal and fixed systems
of education in these monasteries. However, general pattern is students attain
basic knowledge of Tibetan language from their own homes before joining the
monastery. Thereafter they take tantric vows and ordination from head lama on
auspicious day.
After taking vows they are not allow to go out from the monastery premises for
three years. In these three years they learn ritual performances, religious
chanting, playing various religious instruments and making sacramental cakes.
Moreover they have to accumulate mantras and perform meditation of various
deities. After completion of three years' learning and practice they are
recognized as a real tantric. In such way they keep alive Bon culture and
heritage. But unfortunately these days this system has nearly declined and
fading every instant due to lack of facility and awareness among public.

Keeping all these important things in mind there were couple of meetings and
conferences of many lamas and Geshes of different monasteries of Dolpo. As a
result every representative unanimously decided to have some kind of particular
society and centralized learning center. Hence Dolpo Bon Society was finally
established
