Hi Retro,

I didn't say that considering these milestones doesn't have merit. I simply can't make sense of the conclusions you appear to be reaching by considering them.

Personally I don't find worrying about such far-off milestones to be particularly useful. If you find that approach helpful, that's fine, but in several posts on this thread you seem to be using arguments based on your (or some particular commentators') reading of these high-level path/fruition-level milestones to suggest that there are problems with the the approach of some other people/teachers/commentators. It's those sorts of arguments that I consider to be academic and speculative.

Nothing to do with dichotomies.
