Ban on Men Serving the King?

Postby pelletboy » Tue Aug 23, 2011 1:25 pm

Is it true that the Buddha banned men from the king's service esp. the military from joining the Sangha and becoming monks?

Oh, I see, if you are still serving you can't. I thought it was being asked if you were once a soldier. You can't ordain if you have any debts or obligations.
