Kalli Biswokarma was been tortured for days by neighbours. Her crime: she lost her husband and is poor. During the torture she had to eat excrements, she was cutted in her skin till she finally agreed to be a witch. "Untouchable" - women have no any right.
Once in Nepal, a women, looking like never washed and really sick, decided to take the boat to go to a Hindu place for her prayers. She was very weak and I wanted to give her a hand to help her coming in the boat. The reaction and protest from people around me was strong; one must not do so. She entered the boat and wanted to sit there where I was. But she was chased away to the end of the boat. There she had to sit alone, away from everyone. From distance I could show my hands toward her and send a smile. Prayer for this Hindu sister.
