Scorpions on the subject of the Sea

Postby Dan74 » Fri Apr 08, 2011 7:12 am

An interesting exchange by some of our most learned and dedicated members spawned this little diversion. Please don't read this as a criticism of that other exchange or on the members involved who have my deep respect.

Wow!!!.....it's a no brainer for sure....next time I'm voting for scorpions......someone tell the ocean it should get it's color straight or forever be misunderstood.......

Nah ... the cat couldn't take it anymore, and found something better to do!

The cat is not a cat.
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

Scorpions probably don't have any reason to argue about the ocean. But if they couldn't agree on how to identify water, that might be a problem...
