Nice. It makes it easier to identify with for us younger folks.

In two days - July 6 - HHDL will celebrate his 77th birthday.

Short version of the Long Life Prayer for HHDL:

Tibetan:
Gang ri ra wä kor wäi zhing kham dir
Phän dang de wa ma lü jung wäi nä
Chän rä zig wang tän dzin gya tsho yi
Zhab pä si thäi bar du tän gyur chig

English:
In the land encircled by snow mountains
You are the source of all happiness and good;
All-powerful Chenrezig, Tenzin Gyatso,
Please remain until samsara ends.

I saw a video of the times just before the Chinese attacked Tibet. Dalai Lama greeted chairman Mao and he looked something like in this photo. The cool thing was that the Dalai Lama was smiling and extending his hand, greeting Mao in a quite bold way. It was very obvious that this is a brave man.
